Overview:
The Data Analyst will be responsible for adding value to data by turning it into useful information, reports and models to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities will include interpretation of the results of analyses and advising on the best course of action on the basis thereof.
Minimum Requirements:
•NQF Level 7 – bachelor's degree
•Appropriate degree (i.e. Statistics / Maths / Computer Science / Engineering / Finance)
•Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel
Key Requirements:
•SAS or SQL experience
•Experience in working with large volumes of data from different sources
•Exposure to the Credit / Financial Industry

•Ability to translate raw data efficiently into relevant information

•Motivated to work alone or as part of a team
•Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work to achieve deliverables

Key Performance Areas:
•Translate project deliverables into detailed specifications outlining the data required, timeline and prioritisation
•Plan and organise own workload to meet commitments and agreed schedules in a fast-paced environment
•Identify and liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders throughout the course of projects
•Understand the usage and limitations of data (e.g. data structures, data relationships, update frequency)
•Validate information and investigate and address any discrepancies
•Structure, build, optimise, document and explain reports
•Monitor reports and trends and investigate variations
•Increase efficiency and overcome obstacles by innovative thinking
•Acquire knowledge regarding credit processes, account management strategies and customer retention
Based on Experience and Qualification we offer the following package:
•Basic salary: Negotiable
