Accountant - Stellenbosch

HeroTel is looking for a tech savvy accountant to join our finance team. With in-house developed financial systems and a unique business environment this is an exciting accounting position for someone looking for more than the ordinary.

As a holding company HeroTel provides accounting services to 10+ subsidiaries country wide and does so using cloud based software solutions.


Main responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following:

•Assist with accounting functions for the group companies
•Assis the Group Financial Manager with consolidated reporting
•Assist the group company managers with their weekly, monthly reporting
•Assist the HeroTel development team with the further development of accounting software
•Assit with business intelligence development and reporting
•Review and document new policy and processes

Qualification and experience requirements

•Accounting degree: BComm FinAcc; BComm ManAcc; BAcc
•Accounting system experience, preferably SageOne
•Interest in technology and software
•Any programming or computer technology experience a plus
•Any business intelligence experience, knowledge or interest a plus

Remuneration

•R240,000 to R360,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualification
•Annual performance based bonus
