RESTAURANT GENERAL MANAGER – Stellenbosch Wine Estate
Nestled in the shadow of the majestic Simonsberg Mountain, Weltevreden Estate is a beautifully restored homestead in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands. Inspired by farm produce, the restaurant puts a spin on hearty and wholesome country fare. Many of the dishes are inspired by seasonal vegetables and herbs from a farmhouse kitchen.
Our client is seeking to employ a focused and operationally strong General Manager to lead to daily restaurant operations.
The General Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of the daily restaurant operations, cost and staff management, offer an exceptional food and wine experience, with a strong guest and service centric approach, ongoing staff development, coaching and staff disciplining, inventory control, orders and supplier liaison, and daily administrative duties and reporting.
We are looking for an operationally strong General Manager whom is detailed orientated and focused, calm and able to perform under pressure, with at least 3 year’s working experience in a similar environment. Hospitality Management qualification will be advantageous. Good wine knowledge, with a strong business acumen and ability for staff development.
Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license is essential.
REMUNERATION: R20 000 pm (relating to experience)
